1904 Kelch Chanticleer Royal Imperial Musical Easter Egg in Purple Enamel

MUSICAL IMPERIAL EASTER EGG

Inspired by the celebrated 1904 Kelch Chanticleer Egg, this magnificent musical timepiece reflects the grandeur of early 20th century jeweled automaton creations.

Commissioned by Alexander Kelch for his wife and crafted by master workmaker Mikhail Perchin, the historic original featured a mechanical diamond-set rooster that rose, moved, and crowed at the hour. It was the final piece in the distinguished seven-egg Kelch series and remains one of the most intricate mechanical creations of its era.

This dramatic interpretation showcases rich translucent enamel over a gold tone body, ornate laurel swags, and refined classical detailing inspired by grand revivalist design. A decorative rooster crowns the top in tribute to the famed automaton surprise. The built-in battery operated clock adds functional elegance, while the wind-up music box plays "The Nutcracker Suite" tune!
